The U70 is easy to maneuver, drive, short learning curve as far as using the system.
No heavy items need to be lifted or installed before using, such as bootstrap equipment. Less chance of injury due to lifting such items.
The use of this system in my opinion would be greatly used for a AOG, Aircraft on Ground situation, basically when you need the airplane back in the air as soon as possible. It can easily be deployed, pick up the stand and engine and be ready
to go before the aircraft is even in place. With the current bootstrap system, depending on the aircraft type and engine type, it can add anywhere from 1 to 4 hours extra time.
JacXson ops is fine and it is helping us in the current situation with multiple PW1100 engine changes.
The guys at Vueling BCN were very welcoming and helpful. I got a good insight into the usability and capability of the product and was overall impressed.
We have had the opportunity to use eXcent’s Jackson on several occasions for the removal and installation of CFM engines.
This tooling has been tested in various situations. Both indoors and outdoors.
For a company like TARMAC AEROSAVE, a specialist in aircraft transition and in charge of a fleet of about 250 aircraft, the time saving, both in TAT and in MH man is extremely significant.
On the pure engine removal part, we divide the number of people used by two.
On our Toulouse site, we have not used the Jackson for landing gear replacement operations but I know that my colleagues in Tarbes are very satisfied.
CFM56-5b Engine (A320) change this morning in the Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance CDG facilities:
8 hours to change the engine with the JacXson and perform a run-up.
Everyone did a great job. Big thanks to eXcent for the support !
Today it’s a new day with JacXson tool in order to remove complete engine for pylon access !
It took very little time to carry out this removal
Thanks at AFR maintenance team !
As part of our innovation efforts to gain simplicity and make our schedules more reliable, we had the opportunity to test eXcent’s product, JacXson U70.
For five months, Air France Industries maintenance teams were able to use this equipment to remove and install engines on the Airbus A320 fleet.
This demonstrated a significant gain in terms of time and resources required to perform this task. The teams also highlighted a significant improvement in working conditions: less noise, less physical work.
Air France Industries is therefore showing great interest in this system and is aiming for an acquisition in the next few months. It should be noted that the more versatile this product will be (capable of interfacing with several fleets), the greater the interest will be.
A great day for the Air France maintenance teams ! A world first ! Validation of the A220 engine change with JacXson U70 tooling from eXcent.
Happy and proud to participate in this beautiful project with the MTCA teams.
The unit is great, making a big impact on our engine drops and the safety of the team
You can use CASL as a reference to your customers; we have got a very positive experience with JacXson, and my team has become very comfortable using it, even it becomes their favorite option.
They are already using it !
